Dinosaur Footprints Trail

I do so enjoy getting out, so it's a good thing I have a hubby that wants to always be doing something.  This time we decided on the Dinosaur Footprints Trail.  It's a fairly easy trail that heads down to Redfleet Reservoir.  It's very sandy and you can usually spy some lizards running around.  We do have to be careful to avoid those fun little rattlers though.  

Dalin is always showing off some little bug or animal that he's managed to capture.

That face!  So cute.  Dalin and Braden each have their own hydro-packs.  They love being able to drink as much water as they want through their tubes.  They can also collect rocks and sticks along the trail and put them in their packs. 

Landon is a little trooper.  This hike is about two miles round trip and he walked the whole way by himself, although not without complaints of needing to be carried.  I have to keep reminding him that he's getting far too heavy for me to carry.

Any chance they get to climb a huge rock structure and they will, and then they will shout down, "mom look at me!"

We started with jackets on, but it wasn't too long before the boys had taken their shirts off.  

They can't make it another step.  Such drama queens.

If you look closely you can see the dinosaur footprint just below Dalin's foot.  This is a really fun place because you can walk right out to where the footprints are and look at them.  

The other pictures were hard to see, but there's no mistaking this one.  It is a Utah Raptor footprint.  You can see where they actually took several steps across the sand.  Pretty cool place.
