The weather has been so weird lately. Lots and lots of rain in August is definitely not normal for Utah. Everything is so green. Well, after school one day we had a freak rain storm and a river came rushing down the road and settled right in our neighbor's front yard and driveway. Luckily their house didn't flood and the kids had a blast playing in the mud and pools of water.
This picture was taken after it had stopped raining and the water had drained a little more. I was shocked how much water came down within a few short minutes. Too much for the storm drains to handle. We had water right up to our back door that was ankle deep. Only minimal amounts got in the house though. Many of my neighbors and friends were not so fortunate though.
