Dinosaur Park

A week ago Saturday we took the kids to the Ogden Dinosaur Park. We got free tickets and decided we'd better use them before the weather gets too cold (kind of a laugh since it was 90 today!) Dalin had a good time and really enjoyed looking at all the dinosaurs, but Braden found a new love. He was soooo excited. I thought maybe the really big ones or the growling would scare him but he loved it. When a dino would growl at him he would just growl back and then squeal with delight. The first one we really saw was a huge brontosaurus and all he did was stare with wide eyes. Then we walked under it and he wanted to do it over and over again. There is a small playground there that they had a lot of fun on and a little sand pit full of dino bones that the kids can dig up. As we walked around to visit all the different kinds of dinos Braden would run up to any other kid he saw and say "look a dinosaur....a big dinosaur". He wanted everyone to see them. All in all it was a very fun day.

Braden digging up the dino bones. This was one of the highlights for the boys.

Dan and I sat on a bench watching the boys dig and of course Dan can't sit still so he was kind of digging around with the toe of his shoe. After about 20 minutes he'd dug a pretty deep hole with his shoe and lo and behold he found a bone deep down. He was convinced nobody had ever found that one before so before you know it he's down in the pit with the kids digging out this huge bone. I think he was more disappointed than the kids when I told them it was time to move on. Dalin enjoyed climbing on this thing, although I'm not really sure what it was supposed to be.

This is the huge Bronto that Braden loved. He kept running undernear its legs back and forth squealing the whole time.

We had Dino Park on our to-do list this summer but never made it there. I guess we missed out because it looks like you guys had a great time!
