Jones Hole is a fish hatchery that we have been to several times. It's a favorite spot of Dan's. Dan is also the chapter president of Trout Unlimited, a nationwide conservation group. The hatchery and TU got together and had a kids' fishing day. They educated people and kids and then the kids got to fish. Each kid was allowed to keep two fish if they wanted to. Our kids love to fish and since Dan was there running his little booth we all headed up to do some fishing.
The boys each caught a lot of fish. This kind of thing gets them excited about fishing since you're not always so successful fishing in the wild. Dan deplores power bait and worms. He thinks it's a sport and creating and then using the right lure or fly is the only way to fish properly.
There was one "really huge" fish Braden desperately tried to catch all day. He never did get it.
Landon's fish on ice. He was so proud of himself.
Braden was also very proud and claimed his was the prettiest.
Dalin had a ton of fun and, for the most part, needed very little help. He had his pole, tied on his hook and was off.
That night we had fish for dinner.
